Jonathan is scheduled to spend Summer 2010 as a scholar at the Esalen Institute,
an establishment dedicated to the human potential movement. While in Big Sur, Jonathan will
also spend two practice periods at the Tassajara Zen Center.
December 2009 Jonathan attended the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne Australia.
This peacemaking international event takes place every five years at a different location around the globe,
and is attended by thousands of individuals representing all of Earth's religions.
Fall 2009 Jonathan directed the Indian Dance show TEJAS-LUMIOUS in New York, collaborating
with choreographer Malini Srinivasan. Jonathan also coordinated a three camera shoot
of the live event and edited the performance DVD.
AUTODOC, Jonathan's 3rd feature film, premiered at the Leammle on Sunset in Summer 2009,
as part of the Dances with Films Festival.
HERE, ETERNAL - a play collection including Water Buffalo, The Tower of Babble, and
Epicenter, and NARRATIVE LOST - a collection of shorts - were released in Summer 2009.
In Spring 2009, Jonathan finished the manuscript for his first novel, an adaptation of the
story and characters from TALE OF THE TRIBE
In October 2008 Jonathan produced and directed a new short film, ERA. The 11 minute film
tells the story of two silent film characters who are transported to another dimension,
and encounter the otherwordly realities of color and sound. ERA has been picked up for
distribution by the Spiritual Cinema Circle.
Jonathan's first two feature films TALE OF THE TRIBE - An epic spiritual romance,
and THE FALL - a dark tragic comedy about information age confusion, were released
on DVD in Spring 2009.
FAY LINDSAY-JONES STORY, a feature film in which Jonathan plays the male lead,
is in the final stages of post-production. The film, which documents the meteoric rise,
fall, and canonization of a 'positive thinking' spiritual guru, was written and directed by
Jonathan's long-time producing partner Greg Emetaz.
